In addition to writing critical essays, poetry, and fiction, he also does literary translation. Kritika Kultura, Philippine Studies, Unita, Tomas, Bulawan Journal of Arts and Culture, Daluyan, Loyala School's Review, and Malay Indonesian Studies are just a few of the national and international literary magazines that have featured his writings. He gained popularity by advancing the "BALAGTASAN," a traditional poetic genre in the Philippines. He writes a column for the literary magazines Liwayway (Dawn) and Haraya (Imagination). He took part in the 2011 "Kuala Lumpur" International Poetry Readings.
